My personal favorite: "LOL who's making them cuss?" whenever I use Cry of Frustration.
And various sundry variations thereof. Needless to say, mesmer-dissing is what I hate most in GW.

Okay my language is not perfect English, like for example when I cant be bothered or I'm in a hurry I might talk like this ' r u rdy?' etc so i'm not like one of them 'stop destroying the English language people' but none the less i have several things that really annoy me:
'pro/expert runner running wherever, guaranteed to make it' The over use of the word pro and expert - like they do it for a living, they dont even know what the word means! it just bugs me (unless they work in a sweat shop, which they should'nt be doing!).
Then the guaranteed to make it part, no runner can guarantee a successefull run. Sometimes you get hexed with crippling anguish or other slows multiple times and you are getting hit too much, and the degen is just too much. Then theres lag, nightmare (as in horrible, hard - not the creatures) spawns, what if the runner drops has a power cut? You cant guarantee a run, stop lieing!
Another thing is 'WTS WHATEVER NO NOOB OFFERS' First, use the trade channel. Take off the caps lock, stop spamming and its n00b not noob...moron.
'WTS godly weapon shadow bow' for example, you get there and its good perhaps e.g. Req 10, 14 > 50, 10/10 sundering, +28 health. But NO! This is not godly. Godly would be 15 >50, req 7 or 8 with full perfect mods! If you were a god would you settle for anything less?
Then 'this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' Is one '!' not enough? You muppet.

It started as one of these--> "!"
It multiplied to this--> "!!"
Then this--> "!!!"
Somewhere around it's sixth generation, !!!!!!, is where things headed south. 'Twas then that hormonally confused adolescent mutation began. It seems that adolescent youth are still developing hand coordination. It seems many cannot hold one button down while repeatedly stiking another in rage. Thus, the resulting "!!!1!!!!!111!!!!1!"
Unfortunately, people now type out "one" and "eleven".
Have a nice day. Exclamation point

When you see someone saying "kick the Mesmer and/or Necro" in PvE, you're seeing their ignorance in all it's glory! I'm not familiar with the Necro skills, but I love the Mesmer's Domination magic skills: backfire, empathy, energy surge, etc. good times! and that's just the tip of the iceberg of how mesmer's can screw up your enemies.

First, I'd like "FTW" out.
I get tired of seeing:
"Rank 3 FTW"
"Rnak 3 FTL! YOU FIGIIT!"
"No rank FTW!"
"No rank FTW indeed!"
"/dance FTW"
"Anet FTW"
I mean come on? For the win... FOR WHAT WIN! What are these 12 billion contests and competitions going on in your head that are constantly having winners!? For sure you are not always thinking of an opponent! SO WHY? WHAT IS IT/HE/HER WINNING AGAINST!
Secondly, to type "FTW" has become the most common thing in some areas, its like a cliche<[Whatever key it is to put that thing over that E], everyone says it, and they go on hyperactive "FTW" sprees.
Its like a drug! Dont do drugs! They bring you high for a moment, but then you live low.
And the whole "FTW indeed" thing, does that make you sound mre intellegent? NO!
*Steam comming out of ears*
Oh yeah and all those names people call eachother that have to do with the action of sex or the parts that commit that action, those have to go to, and not just from Guild Wars.

I know everyone said something about the "noob" line, but i hate it SO MUCH i have to point it out AGAIN. It is so ANNOYING when someone says "OMG U NOOB!". Please, people make mistakes! Let them make them and learn from them and next time you play with them, they will be better! I hate it when they say "nub" or "n00b" and even more when the say "NOOB".

"Nerf Rangers" - And make em more underrated in PvE?
Some1 in my team:"I'm using Frenzy!" - doing 212 dmg with Lighting Orb on a Frenzy W...no more words needed....
"WTS Flints Fleshcleaver - 50k!" - *cough* What? *cough*

But surviving in the real world will be an enormous problem -- many of them aren't dumb, they just sound dumb. That will be enough, unfortunately, to keep them out of the best jobs and schools.
This comment is directed at native English speakers. For those who aren't ... heck, they have my admiration for communicating at all.
And at first I thought that those with bad grammar and communication skills were mostly from places where English isn't spoken. But most often, when I talk to some of the worst cases, I find that they are - in theory at least - native English speakers.

I agree completely. It seems that the level of education today has sunk to a new low. Too many kids have atrocious spelling and grammar, and when I mention this, they say thing like, "i dun caer u no wut i meen". People need to realize that even in games, how you communicate says a lot about you. I don't usually deal with people who can't communicate decently if I can help it, as I find it to be a fatiguing experience.

I'm talking about necromancers whose job is to kill themselves. They are commonly called "saccers". The thing is, many necromancers sacrifice health as part of their skill costs. So they're all "sacrificers". The ones that intentionally kill themselves should be called "suiciders", or "sui" or something if you must abbreviate everything.

Yes, yes, yes! This is the number one word that pisses me off. I seriously yell at my computer when I read people saying "my toon", "this toon", etc. Argh.
It's probably from World of Warcraft where your character actually looks like a cartoon. But Guild Wars is blessed with characters that *don't* look like cartoons, so call the characters, please.

Toon (along with noob) is a pet hate of mine. I will accept char, character, avatar, but toon is asking just too much.
Oh yes, as for the spelling and grammar in game, that is shocking as well. I don't mind contractions. I don't mind: WTF, WTH, OMG, OMFG, BRB, WB, BB, NN. I don't mind seeing: cu, c u, u, cuz, tho, thru.
The ones that annoy me are those that can't manage to make a proper sentence, even using the above contractions.
As a linguist by profession it is immediately obvious to me the players who are not native speakers of the language, and those who are but simply have no idea how to use it.
Plurals and apostrophes are my pet hate, but perhaps most of all it is the attitude of the players who, when you point out their error, feel the need to "get you back" somehow.
Upon pointing out the error made in the plural form of a word the other day I was promptly told that my character's name was wrong. The idea that it was a nourn and a name, rather than an adjective, seemed to confuse them completely. Actually I think what confused them completely was the word adjective, I'm pretty sure they had no idea what an adjective is.
The character in question is "Rael" which is a form of Rahel, which is an Eastern European version of Rachel. Of course when I pointed this out they started spamming the channel with "Rael/Rahel/Rachel is a sux name", and "Rael/Rahel/Rachel is a sux player."
*sighs* Yes, English is their native tongue, and you can tell by the formation of their sentences. Their spamming only confirms the fact.
